The winter of my freshman year was the first time at a new sport swimming. It makes sense then that the following dream lightly references my first season in the pool. After stepping out of my bathroom from a shower I looked down to see I was wearing my school team swimsuit. Unusual I'm aware because I don't normally wear my suit in the shower. Furthermore I was much more muscular than usual; significantly more muscular as though I'd been spending the last 18 months in a gym without interruption. Proceeding towards the front door I looked up into the sky and thought about my newly grown muscles. I stomped on the ground with incredible force and suddenly I was in the air flying around at staggering speeds (an allusion I realized later to Will Smith in "Hancock"). After a significant amount of time blasting through the air I decided to descend somewhere for ice cream. I was fortunate enough to land in front of the local shopping center which hosted the exact ice cream store I had hoped to stop at over the course of my flight. I was even more fortunate to run into a close friend outside of the store who had just bought herself a nice mint chocolate chip ice cream cone. She kindly offered me some and I accepted simply to be polite. Mint chocolate chip was not my favorite flavor ice cream at the time but I'm happy to say the projection of my friend in my dream convinced me to try some in real life and I have become very fond of it since. The dream ends after I thanked my friend and jumped back into the air intending to head back home. |
