When I was about ten years old I had a brief dream in which I stared into a screen of blue light. It was black around the edges and had the feel of an old Looney-Tunes intro screen. A man's head bald and about fifty years old came towards me on the screen and stopped when it was appropriately sized a la Looney-Tunes. He said one word: "Nice." As soon as he did so the sheets at the bottom of my bed began to kick violently as if someone or something was in the bed with me. It was as if the man and the thing were somehow working together to scare me. I woke up almost immediately. There was nothing in the bed. |
