I'm an electrician specializing in motors, generators and controls. I deal with complex issues every day, and often design, troubleshoot and repair complicated control systems. One dream I have occasionally involves me trying to connect some sort of electrical apparatus that has hundreds of wires protruding from it. None of these are labelled, and a lot of them are too short to be connected. The device in question is usually a big round ball of some sort, and it is imperative that I make it work at any cost. But making it work is simply not possible. I usually wake up before I even start working on it, and remember the dream vividly. |

Text of visitation dream reports from participants in the Demographic Survey 2012 and other sources. Exact question used in the Demographic Survey 2012: Have you ever dreamed about someone who is dead appearing as if they were still alive? |
About 7 years ago, my wife of 25 years passed away. About a month after her death, I dreamed i was standing on the porch of a house we used to own, talking to her. She suffered from bi-polar disorder, and the last few years of her life were often difficult. In my dream, she looked far more beautiful than I had ever seen her. Completely content. Next, I was looking past the house toward a farm. There was a gravel lot with several machine sheds; typical of a farm. I saw a man walking into one of the sheds. Though we never spoke, I knew his name was Don. He was her husband. I was very happy for both of them, especially her. They seemed like they were happy with each other. Next, I was back on the porch, talking to her. The only thing I can remember saying was something like 'But, how can this be, you're.....not alive.......' I knew her answer would be absolutely profound, but I woke up before she could say anything. I was really disappointed that I woke up when I did. I'm pretty sure that I missed out on something big. I think this was her way of saying 'I'm ok, don't worry about me'. Just go on with your life and enjoy it as much as possible. |
